To ask that the Manager would present a report on the work done by Community Safety Fora in south Dublin.  In the light of the 75% cut in government funding to the Fora, to ask that this council would formally communicate with the relevant minister deploring the extent and the communication of the  savage cut and demanding that funding be found to enable the Community Safety Fora to continue with their vital work which empowers disadvantaged communities and addresses at grassroots level problems such as anti social behaviour, vandalism and intimidation?

To ask the Manager how successful is the fix your street initiative?  Are customers using it on an ongoing basis?  Some residents have said to me that they didn't get feedback on their items and wondered if they had in fact submitted their items correctly.

That this Committee outlines, in general, the waste fines for residents leaving bins out to be collected. Can the lid of a bin be open at all?  Is there other information residents should know when leaving their bin out?  What time must the bins be left out at?  What if a bin blows away that is not a residents fault?
