"That this Committee calls on the Minister for Education and Skills to update his department's five year school building plan to correct the omission of five Lucan primary schools which are in serious need of extensions and/or refurbishment i.e.
- St. Mary's Girls NS - The school is located in a 116 year old building with three classes currently accommodated in non-appropriate settings.
- St. Thomas NS & Scoil Áine Naofa, Esker – Between both schools there are 13 classes currently accommodated in prefabs. A number of pre-fabs show evidence of internal fungal growth while a number of pre-fabs are being rented at an excessively high cost to the Department;
- Archbishop Ryan JNS & SNS, Balgaddy - Between both schools there are 16 classrooms currently accommodated in prefabs;
And further invites officials of the Department’s ‘Planning & Building Unit’ to meet with this Committee to review the Department’s policy towards primary school developments in the Lucan area."
That the Manager present a report on the planned work on the Old Nangor Road in Clondalkin between the Mill Centre and Coláiste Chillian with particular reference to the following issues.
1. The timetable for the commencement of the work and it's expected duration
2. Arrangements for pedestrian safety for the duration of the works.
3. The plans for the rebuilding of the limestone wall which has to be removed to allow for the widening of the road.

That this Council meets with Clondalkin Rugby Club to sell / lease 5-10 acres to the club. the land in question is the Corkagh Park lands along the Outer Ring Road between the new Nangor Road and the N7 and that the Manager gives a ball park figure for the cost to the club to sell / lease the land

"That this Committee welcomes the progress in preparing the 12th Lock Area Masterplan; and further requests that the Masterplan to provide a vision and/or framework for the development of both Griffeen Valley Park, south of the railway (in line with SLO 37); and for the future of the Beattie's field lands between the R120 and Griffeen Valley Park (in conjunction with the landowners); and in including both areas to seek the provision of additional playing pitches, in particular for use by Lucan Sarsfields."
"That this Committee, further to my previous motions, requests the Manager to provide a detailed report on efforts to secure appropriate permanent indoor space for Griffeen Community Development Group, Esker Amateur Boxing Club and Lucan South Scouts."
"To thank the Manager and staff for the ongoing work in removing fly-tipping from the laneways in Palmerston and to ask for an update on the servicing of Manor Road by the hand cart service as traders and residents complain of weeds, cigarette butts and other litter that never seems to be removed or cleaned."
That the Manager present a report on the plans for pedestrain crossings etc to facilitate the residents of the Valhalla facility on the Watery Lane in Clondalkin.
That the Manager present a report on the plans that are in place for St Cuthbert's Park in Clondalkin with particular reference to the following
1. Possibility of providing a community centre facility for the Deansrath area.
2. Possibility of installing a playground to serve the community in Deansrath
3. Possibility of installing adult exercise equipment in the park
4. Plan to address dumping and flytipping in the park.
5. Plan to ensure that the park is used more by the community.

"That this Area Committee commends the Council Management for their ongoing efforts in association with the Palmerston Community Council to secure the former HSE premises in Manor Road for Community use and to ask for an update on the position."
Given the great demand for the opening of pedestrian access to the Fonthill Road at Ashwood / Alpine, and the fact that the cycle path at this location is unlikely to proceed, can the Manager present a report on the feasibility of extending the existing footpath and opening a pedestrian gate at the traffic lights at this location.
