QUESTION: Councillor M. Duff

"Would the Manager make a report regarding when he will action take regarding my motion at the December Area Committee, and a question asked at the January meeting, regarding the need for urgent maintenance to be carried out on the junction of the footpaths at the rear of Castletymon Library. The tarmac is badly eroded, constantly flooded and full of mud and is placing pedestrians at risk of slipping or falling while using this area, as these two foothpaths are the only pedrestrian access to Castletymon Shopping Centre from the St Aongus and Tymon North estates?"

REPLY:

Temporary work to make this area passable was undertaken some weeks ago.  However, it is intended to repair the area in a permanent manner in the next two months and the Elected Members will be informed of progress in the matter.
