QUESTION: Councillor J. Hannon

"To ask the Manager to report on the development of sports facilities at Dodder Valley Park, Old Bawn for which grant aid has been received, providing details of the proposed facilities and start date?"

REPLY:

A Sports Capital Grant has been awarded to the Council for the construction of dressing rooms at Old Bawn Park, Dodder Valley.  A proposal for the Registration of a Charge in favour of the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism in respect of the facility was presented to the March 2013 County Council meeting and agreed by the Elected Members.

It is proposed to proceed to tender for the facility as soon as the tender documentation has been compiled and this is expected to be completed in the next month.
