Residential parking schemes operated by SDCC where the primary purpose is to control parking for the benefit of local residents will not be affected by this scheme This pro-business initiative should have a one year evaluation period followed by a full review of its effectiveness. The review should cover the following key areas Value for money to the public and SDCC Effective parking control Commercial value to local business
REPORT AND PRESENTATIONS FROM SPECIAL ORGANISATION, PROCEDURE AND FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY 5TH DECEMBER 2013
That the Manager red circle what is considered an appropriate amount in order to undertake a feasability study vis a vis provision of skate \ bmx park for Tallaght
That this Council requires the Minister for Education to abandon plans to charge apprentices a pro-rata student contribution from 2014
This Council calls upon the the Minister for Enterprise, Jobs and Innovation to take action on these issues
That this Council believes that all those who work for a living should receive a decent wage to help provide for their material needs. This Council believes that Zero hours contracts place much uncertainty on individual and household budgets. Council also notes that wage levels in many areas of employment fall short of providing an adequate standard of living.
This Council therefore believes in the abolition of Zero Hours Contracts.
The promotion of a tax rebate for small businesses in exchange for paying a living wage of at least €10 per hour - with a view to ultimately making the living wage binding on all firms.
That the Manager develops a programme in conjunction with our FAI Development officers that focuses on girls only schools within the county in order to increase the participation of girls in football and to celebrate the new home of Ireland's Senior Women's team in Tallaght Stadium
