"Following the reply to my question regarding HGV restriction signs on the Newcastle Road(see below) can the manager advise if a report can be carried out using the council CCTV to monitor and count the number of HGVS that are breaking the HGV restriction during school time restrictions."

" To ask the Chief Executive to provide an update regarding the additional signs that are to be put in place on Adamstown Road and amend the incorrect signs coming off the N4 (Newcastle road state Monday-Friday and slip road states Monday- Saturday ) and consider replacing them with a more effective signs i.e. with flashing lights, similar to the speed indicator signs installed in Lucan, to highlight the restricted area to HGV drivers and help eliminate/reduce the number of HGVs that are breaking the restriction?"

REPLY:The signs relating to the weight restriction on Newcastle road will be reviewed and outstanding corrections required will be made as soon as possible. CCTV is in place to monitor traffic along Newcastle Road and can be assessed to determine correct observance of the HGV restriction.

"Following my motion passed in January 2015, at the OP&F (Item 42233) that this Council arranges a meeting with Liffey Sounds FM to discuss what plans can be made to progress the development of the Radio Station."

"That this Council assist and support Liffey Sounds FM with the extension of their broadcasting range/area to include Palmerstown and Clondalkin, to include financial assistance (if required) and support with setting it up as a larger radio station. This would allow a very successful local community radio station expand, benefiting a greater area within the county and making the station more sustainable with a potentially larger listener base."
