"That the Chief Executive begin to prepare draft options and proposals for the provision of a regional playground on Cherryfield Park or Knocklyon Park (Knocklyon Utd side) to serve the local population and to ensure that playspace funding intended for the Knocklyon/Rathfarnham area is not lost to another locality."
REPORT:
The provision of a Regional Park play space facility is already included in the 2014 – 2018 Five Year Play Space Programme and to be commenced in 2018 and to be located in Cherryfield Park, Dodder Valley. It has not been possible to get agreement to date for the location of a playspace in Woodstown, Knocklyon and it is unlikely that agreement will be forthcoming for a play space in Knocklyon Park at this time due to its proximity to Woodstown.
