"To ask the Manager to access and report back as to the ongoing issues of illegal parking and speeding in the area of Rathfarnham Park & Ballytore Road at the junction with Rathfarnham Road.

It appears that a stretch of road along Ballytore was resurfaced recently; the double yellow lines removed as part of this and it appears were not replaced.  It appears that cars are parking along this stretch from early in the morning and are parked all day.  As this stretch of road is narrow cars are parking on the footpath thereby restricting not only other road users but also emergency services with, pedestrians having to dismount the path.

There is a further issue and that is with cars driving from Ballytore to the junction can pick up considerable speed and again this represents a hazard for residents and road users generally.  It is suggested that speed ramps be used to curtail this practice?"

Qu (12)

Councillor J. Lahart

"To ask the Manager as part of the traffic management arrangements for Ballyboden Way, following the move of St. Colmcilles to the location, consideration was being given to the placing of 'bollards' at the middle of the road to prevent exiting to the right from Ballyboden St. Enda's Grounds.  What is the status of these arrangements?"
