MOTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"That this Committee agrees that immediate funding should be sought from the OPW to carry out the necessary works required to ensure that the homes of residents in Castlefield Way are not threatened again by flooding water during heavy rainfall."

REPORT:

An application for funding from the OPW under their Minor Flood Mitigation Works to alleviate the threat of flooding of Castlefield Estate during heavy rainfall is almost ready for sending and should be sent within the next fortnight. The Drainage Section of South Dublin County Council has given a commitment to the Flood Committee of the Castlefield Residents Association that they will be informed when this happens.
