That this Council Committee calls on the Manager to give a report detailing the amount of bonfires both official and unofficial that were organised in the Tallaght Committee area.
To request the Council in light of its 'Link 2B active' to adopt :
1. A flexibility regarding the provision of football facilities to both Gaelic and 'Soccer' football in the Kingswood / Newlands Cemetery park and in particular the changing of closure times for the park, in consultation with other interested parties including the cemetery managment.
2. In the alternative, the provision of keys to a small number of interested parties to the main gate so as to permit parking up to 9pm on weekdays to facilitate training.
That this Committee thanks the staff of SDCC for their efforts over the Hallowe'en period in containing bonfires and providing extra services, and that the Manager provides a detailed report on the cleanup of Hallowe'en bonfires and other activities this year, with the inclusion of all significant locations of bonfire debris within the remit of the Tallaght Area Committee, an estimate of the costs involved, and a comparison of this work with previous years.
This Committee calls on the Manager, in light of ongoing complaints regarding anti social behaviour in Tymon Park, including the burning of Council property in the form of refuse bins, and while remaining cognisant of the financial cost to the Council and the hardship caused to local residents, to explore new ways of dealing with these issues including liaising with local Garda to put a stop to them without further delay.
Roads
Questions
"To ask the Manager if a commitment could be given to repair the footpaths on St Brendan's Crescent in Greenhills as quite a number of the footpaths in question are in a very poor condition and given the number of senior citizens who live in this area, if this work can be progressed as part of the Footpath Repair Programme and if he will make a statement on the matter?"
"To ask the the Manager can he give an update on what is happening regarding the removed wall between Raheen and Maplewood Estates and if he has any plans to replace the wall removed by anti social elements?"
"To ask the Manager to arrange that the steps in the cul-de-sac leading into the car-park at *(address supplied) be made safe, in response to a pedestrian falling?"
