That this Council Committee in view of the stated  Roads Department response that no serious trip hazards were found in a recent inspection of Alderwood Park, agrees to have an on site meeting to investigate local residents concerns regarding the footpaths in this specific area.

That this Committee calls on the Manager to arrange for the resurfacing of the large ramp between the pedestrian entrance to the Killinarden Enterprise Centre and the Killinarden House as it has degraded to such an extent that it is a danger to both motorists and pedestrians.

To ask the Manager if he can give a report outlining when the Roads Contractor will begin works to reinstate the lands at the rear of Raheen Drive,Tallaght, that were used for rubble and spoil during road improvement in the area.

1. the now 35 year vacant playground which has been a wasteground .

2. the Basketball Court which is unused and neglected and poorly delineated .

3. the Changing Rooms pavillion which has been constantly vandalised with graffiti.

Would the Manager consider the installment of  palisade fencing to secure all of these facilities  (similar to the Walkinstown Resident Association site at Bunting Road nearby) with the provision of some form of  Landscaping around it.

4. Would the Manager consider the provision of an additional park bench.

5. Would the Manager instruct Council staff to inform all teams that use the facilities of the park to voluntarily remove all plastic/drink containers and cans and other litter from the park after their use of same."

That this Council Committee calls on the Parks Manager to give a detailed report regarding how new health and safety regulations interpretations are affecting the roll out of services in the area.

That the lack of consistency in the quality of grass cutting/maintenance service in different parts of the Committee's area be addressed and rectified.

That this Committee calls on the Manager to arrange for the removal of the barrier at the junction of Bawnlea Avenue and Fortunestown Road as this barrier blocks pedestrians and wheelchair users from crossing the road at this location while calling on the Manager to re-erect the barrier adjacent to it's current location (as agreed with me some months ago) to ensure its original purpose of stopping illegal encampments taking place in the area.

That the Manager outline the landscaping work to be carried out on the Orwell roundabout. This outline should include a timeline for the work , a definite completion date and details of costs spend to date of the work carried out.

This Committee agrees to ask the Manager to confirm that land has been set aside regarding the proposal for a Park in Tallaght Village and will he give a report outlining the proposed area and if concepts drawings are agreed for the site.

That the Manager carry out the necessary landscaping works to remove all the low growth and vegetation at the clumps of trees located on the green at Orwell Park.
