"To ask the Manager to outline what action South Dublin County Council intend taking to persuade the County Returning Officer to provide additional polling places, particularly in the following polling districts of Dublin South West, which show a rapid increase in population as a result of the publication of the Draft/ Preliminary Census 2006:

Tallaght/Jobstown up 27.9%,

Tallaght/Kiltipper up 20.9%,

and Firhouse Village up 22%,

and if he will make a statement on the matter?"

"That this Committee registers the disapproval of most residents in Tallaght of the increasing practise of hanging laundry/washing on balconies and seeks the introduction of a Bye-Law to prohibit such practise and seek the support of the full Council."

"That this committee asks the Manager to review the sale of valuable land in the Jobstown Park area for private development and requests that he approaches the Department of Justice to consider purchasing the site in question for the provision of a much needed additional Garda Station for Tallaght as clearly identified as a specific and absolute need identified in both the West Tallaght Study (2003) and the RAPID Plan for West Tallaght (2002)."

"That the Roads Department immediately provide road name signs for Jobstown Road, Cheeverstown Road, Fortunestown Way and Fortunestown Lane as agreed three times during the course of Tallaght area committee meetings over the past two years."

"That this committee calls for the Tallaght Councillors to go “on site” with the Roads Dept. to meet with the Ballinascorney residents and witness the dangerous situation on the roads in the Ballinascorney Area created by the use of HGV’s."

"That this Committee supports the reconstruction of the footpath located between Airton Road and Broomhills Road (on the left going towards Kilnamanagh).  This pathway scarcely allows a pram/buggy to pass and an immediate solution to this dangerous location is required."
