Cathaoirleach's Business:

That the Manager present a report on the works at the Junction of Boot Road and the N7.  The roadworks at this location in mid December and the closure of the bus lane on the N7 has resulted in very difficult access to the N7 for traffic from the Boot Road with badly backed up traffic along Boot Road and the Green Isle Road.  Residents were given no warning of this development and it has caused much disruption and a real hazard as traffic exiting the N7 at speed comes directly into a clogged up junction and serious accidents are likely to happen.

Mot (2)
Submitted by:
Councillor T. Delaney
Responsibility:
Tony O Grady

That the Manager will investigate and address the problem of surface water resting on the newly resurfaced Ninth Lock Road in the area outside the service station

Mot (3)
Submitted by:
Councillor B. Bonner
Responsibility:

That this Committee expresses concern at the manner in which a particular outlet on Main Street, Clondalkin conducts it's business i.e. trading from the pavement and requests the Manager to present a report on the matter which should refer to the following:

Display of goods for sale on the pavement and shopfront.

Can a trader conduct business immediately outside his shop premises.

If all of these activities are permissible, what recourse is open to residents who find this way of conducting business objectionable.
