MOTION: Councillor T. Delaney

That the Manager would consider replacing the gravel surface in Corkagh Parks playground with the fixed cushion type surface which would significantly improve safety and cleanliness

REPORT:

The current gravel surface in the Corkagh playground, whilst aesthetically pleasing, does present challenges to disabled users as well as parents who have buggies or prams.  Consideration has been given to replacing the surface with a synthetic carpet but both the capital cost and the operational costs involved are prohibitive.  In the meantime other alternative options are being examined.

The Elected Members will be kept informed of progress on this matter.
