'That this Area Committee calls on the Manager to give a commitment that following on from my previous requests and the request from St Aongus residents, following a recent meeting, that Cherry Blossom or Apple Blossom trees will be planted around the perimeter of St Aongus Green and along the sides of the paths that intersect the Green.'
Given the long queues of traffic, particularly in the afternoon and evening, on the Main Road Tallaght, heading in the direction of the new Greenhills Road intersection, could the Manager indicate if a review could be carried out to determine if an alternative traffic management system could be devised to separate traffic heading straight on to the Village or turning left towards the N81, from the traffic seeking to turn right onto the Greenhills Road.
''The €10,000 discretionary Area Committee Fund for the Tallaght Area Committee has yet to be allocated to any project or group. The Council have yet to provide any clear logic as to why it can be allocated for "Reflection Benches" which already receive funding through other sources, but cannot be allocated to other uses that Councillors have proposed as part of the process. This Area Committee, recognising the pandemic of gender based violence, votes to have the €10,000 allocated equally between established, official Women's Refuge services in the Tallaght Area as a small contribution in assisting with their work. We also extend the invitation to local service providers to meet the Tallaght Area Committee to discuss their work and ways in which we may assist them."
'Notwithstanding the latest government 'guidelines' & understanding that South Dublin Libraries wish to further enhance the safety of the patrons and staff. This Area Committee asks the Manager to consider introducing antigen tests for those who wish to attend Library Events who have not got a covid cert as a way of not discriminating against those who may for medical or personal reasons have not been vaccinated.'
'This Area Committee calls on the Executive to install street cycle pumps along the N81 Cycle Scheme and on Avonbeg Road Cycle Scheme and Dodder Greenway on completion and any other Cycle routes that would benefit Cyclists in the Tallaght Area.'
''This Area Committee calls on the Chief Executive to come up with a detailed plan to deal with the Chronic Issue of illegal dumping at the entrance to Montpelier View, Jobstown. This Area Committee also reiterates the ongoing calls for CCTV in the location, considering that without proof or witness to this illegal activity it is difficult to bring any legal action that could potentially once and for all deal with this.''
'To ask the Manager what is the current average waiting time for a 1 bed, 2 bed, 3 bed and 4 bed in the Tallaght area, can this be broken down into the current wait time for both the Tallaght South & Tallaght Central Area?'
'To ask the Manager will broken heating systems be prioritized over the Xmas period both for opening hours & out of hours & how long should a tenant have to wait over this period for a call to their home to have the issue rectified?'
