"To ask the Manager to confirm

(1) The total cost of the recently erected fencing at Alpine Rise/Belgard Heights.    (2) Was contact made with the Roads Department in relation to the Part 8 process for the proposed Embankment Road-CityWest-Belgard Road extension and the submissions received from residents requesting a wall at this location.   (3)That in a written reply to a question I had down for the October Area Two Meeting stated that the fencing was erected to prevent anti-social activity and dumping at this location but yet when the fencing was erected pedestrian gaps were left which could facilitate such activity.    (4) That following damage done to the fencing at the Luas Station, Belgard Heights more of the fencing was removed at the request of a Council official and will the Manager make a detailed statement on the issues raised within this question?."

That the Lucan/Clondalkin Area Committee requests the Manager to write to An Taoiseach calling on the Government to negotiate with National Toll Roads to suspend the collection of tolls and keep the barriers open for the duration of the M50 Upgrade Project in view of the projected increase in traffic volumes arising from the opening of the Port Tunnel and pending the introduction of electronic tolling as provided for in the approval given for the M50 Upgrade Project.
