To commend Management for concessions that have been made in response to residents complaints about  the M50 Works and in particular for the diversion of heavy traffic away from some residential areas and the restoration of some open space for children's recreation and to ask the Manager to report on the liaison system that has been put in place for communities who live close to the current M50 Upgrade works and to include in his report if he is satisfied that the current arrangements are adequate and working well and to confirm that the Council is doing everything possible to minimise the impact on local residents, including reducing to the absolute minimum work outside of core 0800 to 1800 hours during the operational phase of the M50 Works?

Following the passing of my Motion at the June 2006 Planning Department Meeting including a survey of Foxborough Estate to access the outstanding works required to complete the boundary walls in Foxborough Estate, Lucan to a proper standard of finish, and the Manager's Report to that meeting that included details of condition No. 13 of Planning Permission S94A/0022 requiring:

“That screen walls in block or similar durable materials not less than 2 metres high, suitably capped and rendered, be provided at the necessary locations so as to screen rear gardens from public view. The specific locations and extent of walling must be fully discussed and agreed with the County Council before construction. Timber fencing is not acceptable.”

That the Manager would now set out full details of all such works to be completed throughout Foxborough Estate and the agreed time-scale for these works.
