Minutes of Lucan Clondalkin Area Committee Meeting held on 3rd May 2006.
To ask the Manager to determine the ownership of the wall between Esker Woods and Esker Meadows and to arrange for it to be rendered as per the planning permission.
Would the Manager agree to provide a plastering finish to the short stretch of wall on Kennelsfort Road erected as part of the extinguishing of the pedestrian entrance from Kennelsfort Road to Palmerstown Court Estate.
To ask the Manager for an update on proposals to grade separate Newlands Cross from the N7?
To ask the Manager to request information from Dublin Bus as to what plans are being considered, including time-scales, for the improvement of the bus services in the communities in Clondalkin, Lucan and Palmerstown. In addition what efforts are being made to provide better public transport linking Clondalkin, Lucan and Palmerstown?
To ask the Manager to report upon the likely planning restrictions that would be imposed upon any future development on the Vincent Byrne site at the junction of the N4 and Kennelsfort Road and to request that the Manager examines the possibility of acquiring land in that area for future enhancement work at the junction.
To ask the Manager to report further on the pending works, including time-scales, at the rear of house nos. 10-11 Cannonbrook Park, including the re-building of the boundary wall at the open space, the clearing, levelling and securing of the grounds. These outstanding works will be of assistance to restoring a better quality of life to local residents in Cannonbrook owing to ongoing anti-social behaviour arising from this currently un-protected open space.

To ask the Manager to request Dublin Bus to provide information as to what plans are being introduced, including time-scales, to provide a bus service for the residents in Balgaddy to Clondalkin Village.
To ask the Manager to determine the ownership of the strip of wooded land running alongside Lucan Road at the rear of the houses in Esker Lawns towards
To ask the Manager to report further on works pending, including time-scales for these works, on the restoration of footpaths in Lucan Village following my earlier representations. These footpaths, many of which are now in dangerous state of repair, are presenting a safety threat to Local Residents who use Lucan Village. A number of accidents have been reported to me where residents have tripped on broken and dislodged slabs, including Tuesday 4th April 2006, where it was reported to me that a resident who is heavily pregnant, tripped and was taken to hospital.

To ask the Manager to contact the Garda Commissioner congratulating him on the success of the pilot Automatic External Defibrillator schemes he is currently running and requesting that he extends the scheme to include the Lucan, Clondalkin and Palmerstown areas.
To ask the Manager to report in detail on the results of the Motion I tabled and which was passed at the last Road's Department Meeting of the Lucan/Clondalkin Area Committee, requesting the Manager to review the installation of noise attenuation measures as part of the Outer Ring Road. In a number of places on the Outer Ring Road there is a lack of such measures that is causing considerable upset in the Local Community in Lucan.
