To ask the Manager while acknowledging the fact that the Council has had the newly priced bin tags on sale since March and they leafleted the constituency advising of their decision to increase the service,  will the Manager please note that given the current lifestyle of  families and users of the waste service, in a lot of cases both parents working to make ends meet  and not helped by these increases, how do they expect current holders of the €6 tags to obtain a refund by turning up at the County Hall in Tallaght or the Civic Offices in Clondalkin. (Will the Council refund time off work & the expenses people will accrue, by having to turn up at the Councils offices).  If the Council are serious about refunding their customers please implement a customer orientated system for their refund.  May I suggest the retail outlets they where purchased at i.e. the shops.

To ask the Manager to liaise with the local An Garda Síochána with a view to documenting the number of car crashes on the bend on the Collinstown Road, Neilstown. (Local residents have documented at least one car crash a month in recent times.) It is personally my belief that car speeding is a problem in this area & hence I request traffic calming measures on this road to protect pedestrians & other road users. The fact that a number of houses back onto this dangerous bend may result in a more serious type of accident.

That the Manager would write to Dublin Bus and the Gardaí to acknowledge with sincere thanks every effort that Dublin Bus and the Gardaí are making to provide continuing bus service to all local areas, despite the anti-social behavior and criminal activities that are taking place and that figures demonstrate are on the increase, including damages to buses, window breakages etc. Such anti-social and criminal activities are putting bus services at risk owing to the serious threat to the safety of bus drivers and passengers alike.
