Questions
To ask the Manager to prevent car access to the open ground on St. John's Drive, Clondalkin opposite Green Park Shopping Centre in the following way :-
a) Trees without much undergrowth along the edge of St. John's Drive?
b) Tough timber bollards between the open area and the footpath to the bollards into
To ask the Manager to provide up-to-date information on a future playground that would be of great benefit to the local community in Lucan. Such a new playground would be of enormous benefit in Ballyowen Park or the new park adjacent to Mount Andrew Estate given the huge growth in population in this area as previously referred to. Would the Manager also provide up-to-date information to this Area Committee on the Council's Play Policy?
To ask the Manager to specify what additional facilities are planned for
To ask the Manager to indicate what steps could be taken to provide greater security and amenity value for the users of Cluain Rí Park?
To ask the Manager to consider the provision of a secure children’s playground at a suitable location away from housing in Hermitage Park to serve the needs of the children in adjoining estates.

That this Committee calls upon the Council to immediately make portable toilet facilities available at the container dressing rooms in Willsbrook Park as an interim measure while more suitable facilities are prepared. It is particularly unacceptable that the juvenile teams currently using GAA pitch are without such a basic facility.
That this Committee recommends that Quarryvale Park be upgraded
a) to remove the flooding.
b) the installation of adequate paths.
That the Manager cut back all the trees beside the residents' houses that are facing Boomers pub? Birds are loitering around the trees and as a result residents’ cars are being soiled.
That the Manager provides a final report prior to the commencement of the building of the Skate Park for Griffeen Valley Park, Lucan. Would the Manager provide a detailed revised design of the Skate Park as agreed with Lucan Skateboard Club, including information on the benefits of this revised design.

Questions
To ask the Manager to make a small donation towards “Clondalkin meals on wheels service”. They offer meals at two euro to the elderly and are in need of funding.
Would the Manager report on what applications for grants have been approved for the Lucan, Clondalkin and Palmerstown areas in the last month since I last requested this information. What additional applications for grants for these areas are currently being considered?
To ask the Manager to provide an update on the timescale and facilities envisaged for the provision of a Community Centre on the land beside
To ask the Manager to report upon the much welcomed extension of the Homebound Library service to the Lucan and Palmerstown areas since I last raised the matter.

That the Manager examines the potential of developing a Youth Café at Ballyowen Castle Community Centre.
That the Manager would report on progress made with the Review of the County's Water Leisure Strategy which I requested and was agreed in 2005. Would the Manager specifically report on how long overdue is the Public Swimming Pool for the Lucan community?
Would the Manager report on the number, including locations of Community Centres expected to come on stream in the coming years in Lucan, Clondalkin and Palmerstown. Such community facilities will be of enormous benefit to our developing communities.

To ask the Manager;
a) Why the cost of bringing a box trailer into the Esker Green Waste Unit has gone from €8 to €20?
b) To list any other increases in disposal charges at Esker?
c) To ask for justification for the increases and as to whether or not they are cost effective?
To ask the Manager to report on what estates are scheduled to be included in this year's Junk Collection Programme in the Lucan, Clondalkin and Palmerstown areas? Would the Manager confirm that he has now managed to include each estate in a five-year collection schedule as previously discussed.
Would the Manager please report on the Road Sweeping Schedule for Lucan, Clondalkin and Palmerstown. Which areas have been treated in the last three months and what areas are scheduled to be treated in the next three months?
To ask the Manager to arrange a joint strategy meeting with Lucan Tidy Towns Committee and officials from the Environmental Services Department to devise a strategy to further Lucan’s efforts in the

That this Committee calls upon the Manager to ensure that in future, appropriate provision is made for the exchange of outdated bin tags without requiring residents to travel to Council Offices.
That this Committee recommends that South Dublin County Council develops a plan of campaign to deal with Halloween activity in Lucan and Clondalkin and that a report is given to the Committee on proposals in two months time.
That this Council inform the Committee of time frames of the roll out of plastic (blue) bins, brown (compost) bins, and any other relevant bins.
Would the Manager report on the number of litter bins now installed in the Lucan, Clondalkin and Palmerstown areas. What plans are there in place to increase the numbers of these bins in an attempt to assist with the increasing litter issues in our community and given the requirement for additional supply and installation of such litter bins.
That this Committee requests that the Manager takes the necessary budgetary steps to provide additional Litter Wardens to serve the Lucan, Palmerstown and Clondalkin areas.

To ask the Manager to explain if there are any plans for elderly accommodation at the new development at Orchard Road, (Cowans Site). Also is there any provision to dispose of space for “Clondalkin Area Meals on Wheels” for parking facilities?

That the Manager updates this Committee on what consultation has taken place with local residents with regard to the proposed infill housing in

That the Estate Management and Anti-Social Departments be retained in Clondalkin for simple logistical reasons e.g. it takes 3/4 of an hour at peak times to travel from Tallaght to Clondalkin.
That this Council work with Habitat Ireland in relation to building voluntary housing in the Clondalkin area. I understand that the Council met with the group some time ago. I am looking to raise the issue. I would also ask that a Committee be set up consisting of Councillors/officials/Habitat Ireland/residents in relation to same.
