That the Manager undertakes a study of the lands adjoining the Liffey running from Palmerstown, Lucan and Leixlip with a view to the preparation of a CPO for the lands in question to further Specific Local Objective No. 1 in the 2004 County Development Plan within 6 months of the passing of this motion.
That the Council draw up an Area Action Plan for the Palmerstown Village area incorporating the VL Byrne site and also all of the "Old Lucan Road" and the estates off it-both residential, recreational and commercial, and making provision for the up-grading of the Kennelsfort Rd/N4 Intersection, prior to entertaining any planning application for the area. The availability of such an important site becoming available now for re-development opens up opportunities including the provision of social and affordable housing for the already over-developed community of Palmerstown and in the context that whatever development emerges at the VL Byrne site will define Palmerstown for at least the next fifty years.
That the Manager would report in detail on the Planning application for the use of Weston Aerodrome for parking purposes for a limited period during the course of this year's Ryder Cup Golf Competition.
That the manager indicates what steps can be taken by this Local Authority to restrict the expansion of operations at Weston Aerodrome from its traditional light aircraft business into use as an executive jet facility.

That this Committee calls upon the Council to extend its current limited provision of Automatic External Defibrillators to include all Council buildings and vehicles in the Lucan, Clondalkin and Palmerstown areas as a pilot scheme with a view to making them available in all Parks Department vehicles in the future.
That the Manager look to setting up a customer service desk in the Civic Offices, Clondalkin, for non-nationals outlining services available to residents e.g. housing, environment, parks etc.
That the Manager would write to Dublin Bus and the Gardaí to acknowledge with sincere thanks every effort that Dublin Bus and the Gardaí are making to provide continuing bus service to all local areas, despite the anti-social behavior and criminal activities that are taking place and that figures demonstrate are on the increase, including damages to buses, window breakages etc. Such anti-social and criminal activities are putting bus services at risk owing to the serious threat to the safety of bus drivers and passengers alike.
Roads
Questions
To ask the Manager for an update on proposals to grade separate Newlands Cross from the N7?
To ask the Manger that future road signs be displayed in both languages.
To ask the Manager to report on the re-instatement works, including materials to be used and quality of finish planned, on the cycle paths in areas, for example Griffeen Avenue, where Magnet Entertainments is currently engaged in works to provide services, including Broadband, to many householders in housing estates in South Lucan. Would the Manager also please report on the other cycle paths in this area, for example on the opposite side of Griffeen Avenue, as the quality of these cycle paths is not of a standard to encourage cyclists to use this cycling facility. Would the Manager agree to carry out an examination of these cycle paths and report back to the next Lucan/Clondalkin Area Committee Meeting of the Road's Department?
To ask the Manager to report in detail on the results of the Motion I tabled and which was passed at the last Road's Department Meeting of the Lucan/Clondalkin Area Committee, requesting the Manager to review the installation of noise attenuation measures as part of the Outer Ring Road. In a number of places on the Outer Ring Road there is a lack of such measures that is causing considerable upset in the Local Community in Lucan.
To ask the Manager to report upon what progress has been made in tackling the road safety problems identified in the School Safety Audit since last month’s meeting?
To ask the Manager, in light of the extension of the penalty points scheme to agree to make appropriate alterations to road markings in the Lucan, Palmerstown and Clondalkin area where hatched lines are used for lane reduction. With specific reference to the Woodies junction and the slip road at the Foxhunter where the current hatched lines would serve to greatly impede the flow of traffic.
To ask the Manager to indicate the timescale for the proposed Traffic Calming Scheme for the "cell" between Kennelsfort Road and the N4.

Motions
Cathaoirleach's Business Councillor F. McCarthy
That the Council immediately agrees to take the appropriate steps to replace the planned wall and fence along the boundary of Woodville Estate with a solid stone faced wall the height of the proposed fencing in order to provide residents with protection in excess of the minimum required by An Bord Pleanála.
That the Manager explains if there are any proposals to implement a HGV ban on Woodford Hill.
"That this Committee recommends to South Dublin County Council that no land from Corkagh Park be taken for a park and ride facility and that such land be obtained elsewhere."
That the Council carry out a survey of the Back Lane network in Palmerstown with a view to securing them in such a manner that they will no longer be available for illegal dumping and/or for unsocial activities as the present situation is a source of ongoing and severe trauma for adjacent residents as well as a drain on scarce Council and Garda resources and frustrating for the whole community.
That the Manager would report in further detail on works scheduled for the restoration of footpaths, tarmacadam areas and kerbing on Kennelsfort Road, Palmerstown. Would the Manager please note the concerns of the Local Community on Kennelsfort Road regarding any plans to introduce parking bays, given that the preferred option of Local Residents with whom I have consulted with to-date, is for restoration works without the addition of parking bays.
That this Committee calls upon the Manager to detail the development levies received for road enhancement works from the developer of the St. Loman’s site and to immediately provide funding to the Roads Department to provide a traffic lights junction at the Fonthill Roundabout in line with the EIS carried out in respect of the application.
On the Eastern side of the Woodford Road there are a number of cul-de-sacs facing the road, all near to Boomers pub and facing it. The kerbs at these cul-de-sacs block off the residents’ entrances into their houses. This must be resolved as soon as possible.
Development
Questions
Would the Manager agree to provide a plastering finish to the short stretch of wall on Kennelsfort Road erected as part of the extinguishing of the pedestrian entrance from Kennelsfort Road to Palmerstown Court Estate.
To ask the Manager to report further on the pending works, including time-scales, at the rear of house nos. 10-11 Cannonbrook Park, including the re-building of the boundary wall at the open space, the clearing, levelling and securing of the grounds. These outstanding works will be of assistance to restoring a better quality of life to local residents in Cannonbrook owing to ongoing anti-social behaviour arising from this currently un-protected open space.
To ask the Manager to determine the ownership of the strip of wooded land running alongside Lucan Road at the rear of the houses in Esker Lawns towards
To ask the Manager to indicate what land it owns in the vicinity of the entrance to
To ask the Manager if the land at the top of Elderwood Road, recently the subject of a planning application, is in the ownership of the Council or if it was intended/designated as open space and to generally clarify the situation.
