That this Area Committee requests that the grass verges are fully maintained, tree cutting and other basic services for which residents in the Lucan/Clondalkin areas pay their taxes. If this cannot be pursued on a regular basis, more so in summer as that's usually when the trees / grass become problematic, perhaps some other way must be used to resolve the issue. It's not fair that residents are taking over duties that the Council should service. The Council already saves money as many estates are not taken in charge or some are resolved and paid for via management companies
That this Council disposes of the land adjacent to 165/166 Palmerstown Woods, Clondalkin at a nominal fee, with planning restrictions, in order to relieve anti-social behaviour.
That this Council repairs the concrete / grass verge on the right hand turn as you enter Newcastle from Peamount opposite the church, the grass verge must be adequately replaced as must the road.
To ask the Manager to provide figures and locations for vacant private housing and apartments within our County and to comment on how such accommodation could be brought on stream for people in need of a home?
That this Council agrees to seek an urgent meeting between South Dublin County Council and the Minister/ Department of the Environment and Local Government with a view to greatly increasing our County's annual allocation from the Local Government Fund and that the delegation from our County includes both senior council officials and senior elected councillors.
