To ask the Manager to immediately address the unkempt grass verges and what appears to be wasteland surrounding the Tallaght Leisure Centre, bearing in mind that the outer appearance of the centre if it is negative has an extremely detrimental affect on the usage of the facility which is not in the interest of the Council, in addition to review the safety of the carpark in the facility in relation to the lack of pedestrian routes through it and the number of children who are users of the facility?

That the Architects Department explain in detail the rationale behind the lack of pedestrian access and egress in the McUlliam Estate, that he acknowledges that there is a serious problem at this location currently and explains how going forward he proposes to address this.

This Councill Committee in view of the ongoing problem of falling leaves blocking drains and making footpath slippery calls on the manager in conjunction with colleagues in the environment section to intoduce a scheme where organised local residents can dispose of green waste that they collect and gather in their respective areas.

This Council Committee concerned at the increased noise pollution coming from traffic on the newly opened Outer Ring Road and effecting Tallaght residents in Raheen, Kilclare, Whitebrook, Rossfield and Kilmartin Estates calls on the manager to draw up a report outlining practical measures this Council can take in the form of planting that will reduce some of the noise and the negative impact  this is having on the quality of life of local residents.

That this Council calls on the  Manager to investigate the establishment of  an outreach service in conjunction with NGO’s  and State Agencies to inform Senior Citizens  from the  South Dublin County Council area of grants and other entitlements  that are available  to them and many administered by this Council.
