STRATEGIC POLICY COMMITTEES
(No report )
Cathaoirleach's Business
That this Committee objects to any proposals to reduce public transport, including buses, in the Lucan, Palmerstown, Clondalkin and Newcastle areas. Many areas are not currently well served by buses, including residents in estates who previously depended on the Morton's Circle Line for example. Also, at a time when transport costs should be kept to a minimum, it is wholly inappropriate that bus fares should be increased, as did happen recently. This Committee requests the Manager to convey the above to the Minster for Transport and the Chief Executive of Dublin Bus.
Cathaoirleach's Business
That the Manager would present a report on the up-to-date progress of the All-Weather Pitch Facility as proposed by the 5 Lucan Soccer Clubs: Ballyowen Celtic Football Club, Beech Park Football Club, Esker Celtic Football Club, Hillcrest Football Club and Lucan United Football Club.
