This Council Committee calls on the Manager to investigate the road sweeping operation on the Fettercairn Road that is linked to Housing Construction and other activity in the area to determine if a new system can be intoduced with the co-operation of local residents where by parking bays on the road can be also cleaned during these cleaning operations.
That this Committee thanks the staff of SDCC for their efforts over the Hallowe'en period in containing bonfires and providing extra services, and that the Manager provides a detailed report on the cleanup of Hallowe'en bonfires and other activities this year, with the inclusion of all significant locations of bonfire debris within the remit of the Tallaght Area Committee, an estimate of the costs involved, and a comparison of this work with previous years.

To ask the Manager for a further update on the taking-in-charge of Tullyhall, Rossberry & Hayden’s Park estates including the access road linking these three estates to Griffeen Avenue, Lucan and the grass verges to this access road?

That this Committee requests an audit of footpaths and pedestrian facilities be carried out in the Lucan Village area to identify pedestrian safety risks such as narrow, uneven/broken and poorly drained footpaths as well as unsafe crossing points etc.; and to examine what improvements should be prioritised for the 2010 works programmes so as to improve pedestrian safety for vulnerable user-groups including school-children, parents with buggies, the elderly and persons with a disability.
That the Manager to present proposals to this Committee to comprehensively address the serious problem of loose paving slabs on footpaths in the Palmerstown Village area. These loose paving slabs pose a pedestrian safety risk particularly at times of heavy rain. Recent repairs to loose slabs have had a minimal affect in addressing the overall problem.
