Letter, dated 20th September 2011, from the Taoiseach regarding mortgage holders in crisis (M19/0911)
That this Council regrets the refusal of Greyhound R & R Ltd to send a representative to meet with the Council as requested at our last meeting; that this Council is dismayed at the confusion caused to residents in South Dublin who formerly availed of the Council service by Greyhound's changes and notice; that this Council condemns the imposition of a standing charge by Greyhound despite promises not to increase charges; and that this Council, mindful of the effects of these changes on those whose waivers will be abolished in the coming months, calls on the Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government to implement the pledge in the Programme for Government to provide a waiver scheme, nationally, for low-income households.

To ask will the Manager make a report to this Council indicating if it is his intention to continue granting Management Grants to Community Centres across the County, in recognition of the valuable service that these Centres afford to our Communities. Will he also indicate if Sports organisations, such as Olympic Handball, can avail of small grants for equipment replacement or travel assistance?
To ask the Manager to outline the number of motor accidents on the M50 in 2010 and 2011?
To ask the Manager to report on the management of the M50 particularly in terms of landscaping from the Lucan Interchange to Ballinteer and to make a statement on the matter?
To ask that the Manager outline how many users availed of the County Library in 2010 and in 2011 and how many have availed of Ballyroan Library in the same period?
To ask the Manager to list the parks depots in the county - what areas they serve and how many personnel are employed in each?
To ask the Manager what percentage of Council work is contracted out under the headings of Roads and Parks?
To ask the Manager to detail the re-deployment of those previously dedicated to the bin collection service in the county and to report on the disposal of the refuse vehicles/freighters which previously formed part of the fleet?
