"That this Committee notes the concerns expressed by residents about an increase in illegal dumping and littering in the Lucan area, and requests an updated Report from the Manager including her observation on the apparent trend in plastic skips being left on roadways and in housing estates, and include in the Report measures to combat illegal dumping in Cannonbrook Estate, Lucan and information on the number of fines or summonses issued so far in 2012, following on illegal dumping and littering in the Lucan area."

"That this Committee notes that Fingal County Council has given notice of its intention to develop a Master Plan for St. Catherine's Park, Lucan, which will include playgrounds, coffee shop, public toilets, pitch n' putt course, fishing pond, cattle field, a pedestrian bridge across the Liffey, etc., and asks the Manager to request the Parks Department to examine the potential for South Dublin County Council developing complementary facilities and amenities in Lucan Demesne."

"That this Area Committee welcomes the granting of planning permission by an Bord Pleanala for the proposed Esker Educate Together school development at Esker Lane; notes that this decision will permit the development of the proposed new Parks Depot at Griffeen Valley Park (south of the railway) to proceed; and requests that the Manager to expedite this new Depot development and to further examine and outline how this development could be accompanied by works to the surrounding area of parkland, including provision of additional playing pitches as proposed in my previous motions."

"That this Committee notes that concerns have been expressed by residents about the safety of pedestrians, including schoolchildren, using the new pedestrian crossing at Griffeen Avenue, arising from vehicle drivers failing to slow down and stop as required by law, and to bring a report to the Committee on measures being implemented to increase awareness of drivers of the new crossing, and if the Council will request An Garda Siochana to monitor compliance by drivers with the obligation to stop when a pedestrian approaches the crossing, and to impose the appropriate sanctions on drivers who are breaking the speed limit at the location and/or failing to halt to allow pedestrians to cross safely."
