That this council in conjunction with the OPW will ensure Capital is secured from the Dept of Environment to attend to the major works required to rectify and prevent flooding within the County.
That this Council directs the CEO to ensure that the Development Plan supports community groups, residents associations and networks for older people which help make our communities sustainable and sociable.
That this Council directs the Chief Executive to review findings of Biodiversity studies on our Rivers and design any recommendations which can harness the energy in our local rivers into the Development plan.
Residential Density
That this Council directs the Chief Executive to require in the new Development Plan that the densities of new residential developments do not exceed those outlined in the 2009 Government guidelines on “Sustainable Residential Development in Urban Areas”.

Liffey Valley Shopping Centre and environs
That this Council recognises Liffey Valley Shopping Centre and environs as a designed Level 2 retail centre; but further acknowledges that the area will never represent a ‘Town Centre’ in the traditional sense; and therefore directs the Chief Executive to review the zoning and settlement hierarchy designation of these lands; and to include an action to require the preparation of a new approved plan for these lands, as well for the Fonthill Retail Park and other nearby appropriate lands; which will address matters such as future retail planning, enterprise and tourism development, urban design, traffic management and the social and community regeneration and development of adjoining residential areas; while protecting the civic centrality and commercial viability of both Lucan and Clondalkin Village.

That the Council directs the Chief Executive to include a policy on the Walled Garden which was overlooked by SDCC Officials when they were assessing the Augustinian site be protected in the RPS in line with its NIAH Listing. We propose that the Walled Garden, Victorian and Georgian Buildings pertaining to the residence onsite known as St Catherine’s and their signifiers be retained as part of any development.
That the Council directs the Chief Executive to include a policy on the need to promote biodiversity by avoiding ‘grass only’ open space areas.
That the Plan will seek to provide opportunities for the expansion of Public Transport Services throughout the County that will link all of our Major Towns and Villages with particular reference to linking Clondalkin and Lucan, Tallaght and Lucan and Newcastle and Tallaght.
That the Plan will facilitate the regeneration of Industrial areas where vacancy rates are high with a view to more efficient use of land and the increase in employment opportunities for the Citizens of South Dublin.
To encourage the development of village markets especially seasonal times of the year.
NRA Allocation 2015
That this Council gives favourable consideration for planning applications to modify a home to provide separate accommodation within the one structure rather than a separate structure for Adult children who wish to look after an elderly parent

That this Council directs the Chief Executive to ensure our community buildings and initiatives are designed to support the much needed increase in youth programs including further development of youth diversion program with the Gardaí. (23% of our County are under 15)
Grange Castle/Industrial Development
That this Council directs the Chief Executive to make provision in the new Development Plan for the orderly expansion of enterprise zoned lands, particularly in the Grange Castle/Profile Park area, so as to ensure the ongoing attraction of foreign direct investment to our County.

Lucan Village
That this Council directs the Chief Executive to include appropriate policies, objectives and actions in the new Development Plan to promote and enhance the commercial viability, residential amenity and heritage of Lucan Village, including improved linkages to the Greater Lucan area; and to further strategically review the zoning of all currently-built areas in Lucan Village, including those north of the river, with a view to identifying how vacant sites could be regenerated, while ensuring that there is no extension of the existing built footprint of the Village.

That the Council directs the Chief Executive to include a policy on the Walled Garden, Victorian and Georgian Buildings pertaining to the residence on the Augustinian site should be retained as part of any development on the site, and included in the Record of Protected Structures.
That the Council directs the Chief Executive to include a policy on the need to maintain existing hedgerows and protect Ancient and Hedgerow Systems (AHS).
That the Council directs the Chief Executive to include a policy on anti-flooding measures, particularly in relation to Castlefield Estate, Knocklyon, and to ensure that all future development within the County does not cause the same problems.
It shall be an objective of the 2016 - 2022 County Development Plan, in association with the RPA to provide a link between the Dublin-Maynooth and the Dublin Kildare Lines completing the loop as part of a modern public traffic system for the county.
