This Area Committee wishes to thank the Chief Executive, the Housing Director and his staff for the dedication and commitment to providing safe accommodation to women and children escaping violence. This Area Committee also wishes to thank them for their tireless work ensuring that a new Women's Refuge will be provided in the County in the near future. For that and all their hard work, we commend them.
"To ask the Chief Executive to report on current process for appeals for time on housing list. When dealing with people that are on the housing list there is always a dispute with time on list. Can you tell me about when a dispute arises what is procedure to fix dispute?"
"That this Committee calls on the CEO to provide a full report on the evolving issues with Homeless tenants in the Abberley Court Hotel around its status as a “Hub”. That this report include timeframes being advised to tenants on how long they will expect to stay there, what services will be available to them, will they have a housing liaison officer to help them transition to HAP or other forms of housing and any other relevant information the Chief Executive seems important to provide."

"That this area committee calls on the Chief Executive to provide the report of the investigation that was to be carried out back in Sept 2016, refer to Motion 50527: also calls on the Chief Executive to consult with the residents as this still has not been carried out with regards to the same."
"That this Committee calls on the CEO to arrange for the installation of one of our mobile cameras on the perimeter of Jobstown Park at Glenshane Drive with a view to discouraging and catching culprits who are illegally dumping rubbish in the park on a large scale which is causing severe nuisance and environmental health issues for both residents and park users."
