We have been restricted to date with the fact that the majority of estates in the Clondalkin Area are:

• pre 1990s Underground Schemes – these cannot be upgraded due to an ongoing technical issue with these installations. This is being resolved at a national level.

    OR

• ESBN Overhead Schemes – these are more expensive to upgrade due to the proximity of the overhead network. However, we commenced on a county-wide programme to upgrade this type of fitting in 2018 and we will be addressing additional areas in Clondalkin under this programme in 2019.

 A briefing document regarding our planned programme for Q1 and Q2 of 2019 will be issued to all the elected members in early December 2018.
