Early intervention is key to a child's development. The Get Ahead club that operates an after school programme in North Clondalkin in schools in Balgaddy, Rowlagh, Neilstown and Quarryvale is under threat due to a restructuring of funding from TUSLA.
That this Area Committee writes to the Minister of Children and Youth affairs Katherine Zappone and ask her to immediately intervene so this funding can be directed in order for this vital service to continue.

Tall hedging and no lighting in this area has attracting unwanted attention from young people who of course have no where else to go. This is a secluded area currently and residents have complained of extensive noise issues, verbal abuse and items being thrown onto the street. Gardaí do not have the resources required to patrol regularly and further action is now required from SDCC to ensure this is a successful playspace for the area.
