That this Committee calls on the Manager to arrange for the installation of a public lamp standard in the laneway between No 55 Carrigmore Park (Aylesbury) and 73 Pairc Gleann Trasna with a view to improving public safety and the security of the adjoining homes where ongoing acts of violence and vandalism occur on a regular basis including theft from houses and house windows being smashed.

That this Committee calls on the Manager to deliver a report detailing what engineering solutions or otherwise have been identified to ensure severe flooding events can be lessened or eliminated at Knockmore Park & Avenue as a result of the height of Killinarden Park being at least two foot higher than the adjoining Road, the slips at Whitestown stream which exacerbated flooding at Cloonmore Avenue and Killinarden Estate, the barriers at Bawnlea Crescent and various issues that continuously cause flooding to elderly residents homes at Gibbons' Cottages on the N81. That this Committee further calls on the Manager to provide a timeframe and sequence of investigations and works understanding that some investigations may be preliminary at this point.

That this Committee discuss the short-, medium- and long-term plans for flood defences in areas under the remit of this County, and that the Manager report on responses specific to the area under the remit of this committee with regard to the major flood event of 24-25 October 2011. In expressing its support for all residents affected by the floods, this Committee asks the Manager to outline action plans for areas where serious and repeat flooding has occurred - such as the Whitehall Rd area adjacent to the Poddle.

That this Council  addresses the issue with the drain located on the land behind Ely Drive, Oldcourt.  As it is causing flooding problems during heavy rain.
