QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney

"To ask the Manager to report on the condition of sewers and drains in the "cul de sac" area at the bottom of St Bridget's Drive and St Columba's Rd, Greenhills Dublin 12 following the recent flood event, and to confirm if major works are required and/or planned to avoid the frequent and dangerous flooding and sewerage difficulties experienced in this area?"

REPLY:

Work was carried out in this area, bottom of St. Bridget's Drive and St. Columba's Road, in late September/ early October 2011 on a combine drain damaged by a Contractor working for An Bord Gais and as far as the Drainage Section is aware this work has solved the problems in this area.
