That this Committee calls on the Manager to commit to the removal of all bonfire debris in the Tallaght area by the end of November, given that the bonfires may re-emerge and that the majority of the population who are law abiding and concerned about their environment are suffering because of this dismal landscape created by the few and if necessary engage with local voluntary groups to assist in the removal of material.

That this Committee recognises that there is a particular problem with old trees on St Joseph's Rd, Greenhills, many of which are unsuitable and cause a variety of difficulties for local residents, including trip hazards, resin and detritus damage to cars and driveways, blocking sunlight, coming into contact with wires, and having low-hanging branches. This Committee mandates an immediate audit of all trees on the road and the investigation as to whether all, most or some of the original trees should be removed and replaced with more appropriate trees, and a schedule of most immediate work to be carried out, to report to the December Area Commitee.

That this Committee calls on the Manager without delay arranges for the significant improvement of the laneway to the side of Swiftbrook estate and the unmaintained grass verge at the entrance to St Aidans halting site.

That this Committee calls on the Manager to honour a commitment given by a senior member of the Parks Department to prune two large trees, and remove another tree that is dead, from outside *ADDRESS SUPPLIED. The occupant of this house is living in fear of these trees falling onto his home.

That this Council Committee recognising the anti social difficulties being experienced by residents living near the wall opening at Drumcairn Parade and Drumcairn Avenue and the fact that it is being used by anti social elements to bring quads bikes etc. onto the parkland calls on the Manager to consider the installation of a control gate at this entrance and the end of the pathway that leads on to the new roadway  near the Fortunestown Shopping Centre in Springfield, Tallaght

That this Committee calls on the Manager to arrange for the clean up of the area that houses a commemorative plaque inside the gates on the Osprey Road end of Tymon Park. This area has been used to burn rubbish bins that have been stolen and bought into the park and set on fire. As a consequence of this behavior, local youths are now using this area as a rubbish tip and it is full of cans and bottles, and the plaque is covered with burnt plastic.

That this Committee calls on the Manager to use his influence to impress upon the Railway Procurement Agency the need to have the LUAS Saggart spur completed and opened before the start of the World Irish Dancing Championships, which are due to start in IECC Citywest, on the 17th April 2011. This event has the capacity of attracting over 20,000 visitors to the County and will be worth over 20 million Euro to the local economy.
