That this Committee recognising the weakness inherent in the present policing structures and in view of the overwhelming support among residents in Kingswood for the Garda Authorities in Tallaght to patrol and take responsibility for policing for the whole of the area, agrees to write and contact the relevent authorities, including the Garda Commissioner and the Justice Minister concerned, calling on them to urgently address and prioritise this issue, in the interest of improving the quality and the level of support for policing in the immediate area.

That this Council Committee concerned at the lack of adequate legislation regarding the height of trees and hedges on private property and aware of similar concerns in other local Authorities and the difficulties being experienced by residents calls for the introduction of a single legislative measure which would apply in these cases  nd agrees to write to the Minister concerned to prioritise legislation in this area.

That this Committee calls on the Manager, in view of the ongoing traffic problems and the obvious danger to motorists exiting and entering the shopping centre opposite Raheen/Whitebrook Estates, to carry out an investigation into possible measures that could be introduced to improve safety at this busy neighbourhood centre.

 That the Manager arrange for the installation of a yellow box and a flashing “children crossing” sign at the junction of Wainsfort Grove and College Drive. Exiting from Wainfort Grove onto College Drive is dangerous because of the difficulty in seeing traffic on College Drive due to a bend in the road. This has been exacerbated since the opening of the Daisy chain Montessori school and crèche in the area.
