That this Committee calls on the Manager to find a permanent solution to the long term flooding problem at the entrance to Castletymon Shopping Centre, which is now occurring more regularly, and is having a detrimental effect on traffic and pedestrian access to the Centre and is causing difficulties for our local rate payers.

This Committee calls on the Manager to take immediate action to remove the graffiti from the noise abatement wall on the N81 adjoining the pedestrian pathway leading to the M50 roundabout, on the Brookmount side, and on the panels on the Firhouse side of the roundabout and to give consideration to planting shrubbery at the wall and panels to discourage further vandalism.

That this Committee calls upon the Council to assist the Educate Together and Gaelscoil in Firhouse in finding adequate accommodation for the 2014-15 School Year.  Could the Manager provide a report on using a site such as the Victory Centre for this purpose.


This Committee also calls upon the Department of Education to expedite the process of locating the schools at site on the Old Court Road designated under the proposed Ballycullen-Oldcourt area plan.
