PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS TO BUS TERMINUS ON LIMEKILN AVENUE

The bus terminus at Limekiln Avenue has been inspected by council staff in conjunction with Dublin Bus. The terminus is busy and accommodates buses from two high frequency routes. Buses serving the different routes often need to pass each other within the terminus area due to their schedules which has resulted in damage to the grass verge around the terminus area and requires widening to permit easy passage. The public lighting in the area also needs repair. In addition Dublin Bus are examining the bus stop and shelter to provide improved access for buses. The provided access way requires widening, a drawing is provided. Funding is to be identified. A drawing of proposed arrangements is attached herewith and we are in consultation with Bus Atha Cliath in relation to funding arrangements.
