That the Chief Executive reviews the policy in the Adamstown SDZ relating to energy efficiency of buildings and to report on how this currently relates to the price that residents in some areas are paying for energy prices in well insulated and so-called "energy efficient" buildings, eg where residents have to share a power system and do not have routine access to their electricity meters for example and are often forced to pay premium rates for power; to liaise with developers to ensure such problems are not caused in future planning applications; and for the SDZ team to work with the Housing section to ensure that anyone in a Council or Housing Association property, or being paid a HAP payment is not suffering from fuel poverty as a result of poor application of energy management systems in some buildings within the SDZ.
To ask the Chief Executive if a survey has been carried out on estate roads in Palmerstown as some of them are in poor states of repair and to outline if a schedule exists, similar to footpaths, for fixing such roads, especially in older areas from Wheatfield Road, between Kennelsfort Road and Glenaulin Park, down to the R148.
To ask the manager for an update on the implementation of Hedge Cutting Notices on private residential properties where hedges and vegetation are hazardous to the public, in particular on pathways. If you could detail the time frame for this process. (Roads Dept)
To ask if there is a budget for traffic calming in the electoral area for 2022 and is there a list of roads where any works are due to be carried out? What procedure must residents follow to request a ramp or other traffic calming measure and what happens next?

"That this Area Committee calls on the Chief Executive to examine the feasibility of reopening the historic pedestrian tunnel running from the grounds of the Spa Hotel Lucan through to Lucan Demesne (reportedly blocked-up but not destroyed during construction of the N4 Lucan bypass) so as connect the hotel complex and the Demesne, making it more accessible for visitors."

That the Manager facilitates the installation of two name rocks on the Knocklyon Road. There are a large number of suitable rocks on the site of the Homeville Part 8 which would be ideal. It is suggested one would go at the corner of Knocklyon Road and Firhouse road across from Lansdowne on the Blue Haven side. The other one could go on the Intersection of Ballycullen Rd. and Firhouse Rd., opposite Mortons but on the Delanys pub side.
