" That this committee calls on the Manager to install two litter bins, one at the area adjacent to the Dale, Belgard Heights and the footpath leading to the Luas Station and the second litter bin  in the vicinity of Belgard Shopping Centre and this committee notes a report presented to the Environment Strategic Policy Committee in early 2005 which stated that " The Council is willing to consider in exceptional cases the installation of litter bins in a limited number of locations in housing estates where there is through pedestrian traffic going to and from shops, parks or schools." and this committee believes that these two locations fall within that remit".

"That the Manager outline any conditions attaching to the granting of planning permission for all-weather pitches at Scholarstown Road (on the site of Site of St Colmcille's Community School); and specifically to outline whether time restrictions were placed on the facility and specifically what measures were included to ameliorate noise pollution to surrounding houses; and if no restrictions were imposed by way of planning permission, what steps are open to local residents to reduce the impact of noise pollution late at night and for the Manager to take cognisance of the need for such conditions to be imposed in the future where such very welcome community and sports facilities are located adjacent to residential neighbourhoods."

That the Director of Planning would present an initial report on the West Circular Route, a copy of which has been sent under separate cover, as proposed by Lucan Planning Council, as a viable option for a Western Outer Ring Road. Would the Manager also agree to meet Lucan Planning Council Officials at an appropriate time in the future to discuss this proposal by way of exploratory talks.

To ask the Manager to report on the amount of Planning Applications submitted Christmas week 2005 and to compare this figure with the volume of Planning Applications submitted during each of the three previous weeks. Would the Manager also report on the number of Planning Applications decided on in South Dublin County Council during Christmas week?

To ask the Manager to comment on the level of illegal dumping taking place in the county and to comment on the amount of tonnage that he estimates is being dumped on a weekly basis; what measures are being taken to deal with this; how many prosecutions have taken place and how many are pending; how much has been imposed by way of fines by courts; whether any criminal proceedings have been initiated; and how the Manager proposes to deal with the issue from a policy point of view into the future?
