That this Committee calls upon the Council to insist as a matter of urgency that the Gardaí and the relevant Ministers are requested to put in place the necessary resources to provide Gardaí on point duty at all major junctions in the Lucan, Palmerstown and Clondalkin areas at peak traffic times all year round until such time as the chronic traffic situation is alleviated to an acceptable extent.
That this Committee calls upon the Manager to contact Fingal County Council immediately and to insist upon the immediate opening of the Laraghcon Road given the massive traffic problems being caused in Lucan as a result of their failure to ensure its opening.
That the Manager details what measures will be taken to ensure that there is minimal disruption to traffic resulting from the Outer Ring Road construction works and furnishes this Committee with the contractor’s work schedule.
