That this Committee calls upon the Manager to rule out permitting any development on the parcel of residential land adjacent to the Finnstown Shopping Centre gain vehicular entrance through Finnstown Cloisters or Priory.
New Works
That the Manager would agree to pursue with the developer the completion of the boundary walls in Foxborough Estate, Lucan to a proper standard of finish. Many residents in Foxborough Estate have not had their garden walls finished properly, including dashing, capping etc. A survey of the Foxborough Estate is required in such circumstances. However it may be possible to incorporate some of these works in the more immediate future on those gardens which back onto the Outer Ring Road where works are currently taking place.
Correspondence
That the Manager would agree to seek to engage in discussions with the Management of Weston Aerodrome, the Gardaí, the Irish Aviation Authority and the Weston Park Residents Association on the ongoing problems of low-flying aircraft over the west Lucan area. Such practices are the cause of increased concerns owing to the threat to the safety and the quality of life of the local community. In the circumstances the sole issue for discussion at the New Forum is the Safety of the Local Community.
That the Manager would present a detailed report for discussion on what management strategies South Dublin County Council proposes to introduce to help alleviate the growing traffic crisis on our roads in the Lucan, Clondalkin and Palmerstown Areas. Given the increased traffic delays that residents are facing, which is causing the deterioration of their quality of life. There is now a greater onus on the Local Authority to be more pro-active in finding solutions to the traffic crisis on our roads.
That the Manager initiates the selection procedure for the next few phases of the Traffic Calming Scheme and that Earlsfort be approved as one of the ones designated for the Lucan area and furthermore that a report on the implementation of the current Traffic Calming Scheme with an exact timescale for each area be provided.
That this Committee calls on the Manager to agree a suitable peripheral wall, including both the material to be used and the finish facing both the motorway and the residential areas, at Glenpark and Holliville, Palmerstown as part of the current upgrading of the M50.
"To ask the Manager to have arranged the repair/replacement of the kerb at *details supplied which has become loose and is now a danger to both pedestrians & motorists and will the Manager make a statement on the matter?"
That this Committee directs South Dublin Co. Council to work urgently with the Bawnogue Enterprise Centre so as to sort out the following problems:
1. The roofing.
2. The sewage system on the site.
3. The heating/boiler system.
4. Major cracks in one of the buildings.
In the absence of an Area Committee Meeting before the Autumn this Committee directs the County Council to provide an interim report on progress made to the July 2006 County Council Meeting.

"That this Committee commends the work of all relevant staff in the Environment Department for their work on the litter problem in Tallaght, and on achieving "litter free status" for our town, and that everything possible is done to retain or improve on this status"

"That this Committee supports the completion of work at the green open space at the entrance to Bancroft Estate, as per agreement, on the completion of the Greenhills Road extension and the apartments. This work includes:
planting of six replacement trees;
grass cutting on open space;
landscaping at side of apartment block;
reinstatement of area around stone nameplate;
replacement of broken kerb and wooden bollard"
