QUESTION: Councillor E. Maloney

"To ask the Manager to report on progress on the proposed "infill housing scheme" at Whitebrook/Raheen, Springfield?"

REPLY:

A proposal was presented to the Area Committee in early 2005 for a proposed infill development in the Whitebrook area. 

This infill housing proposal is dependent on the acquisition of three parcels of land not in SDCC ownership – the Development Department is pursuing the transfer of title to these lands with Dublin City Council and the Chief State Solicitors office.  The Roads Department will pursue the extinguishment of the public right of way that exists at this location once the transfer of title has been resolved.  The Environmental Department will also deal with the diversion of a sewer once transfer of title has been resolved.

Until all these issues are resolved, Housing Department will be unable to progress this matter any further.
