(A) Letter dated 4th February, 2008 received from Dublin Bus regarding a question that was adopted and approved at the Tallaght Area Committee Meeting of 28th January, 2008, in relation to a request for the return of the bus stop outside C.R.H. on the Belgard Road to its original position.
(B) Letter dated 21st February, 2008 received from Dublin Bus regarding a question that was adopted and approved at the Tallaght Area Committee Meeting of 28th January, 2008, in relation to a request for an improvement in services in the Old Bawn/Aylesbury area.
(C) Letter dated 28th February, 2008 received from Educate Together regarding a motion that was passed at the Tallaght Area Committee Meeting of 28th January, 2008, in relation to a request to iniatiate discussion with Educate Together with a view to providing a school in Tallaght South.
To ask the Manager to update the Committee on progress made in relation to the proposed West Oldcourt Area Action Plan and to inform all individuals and groups that made submissions on the pre-draft stage of the current delays in progressing the plan.
"To ask the Manager to have the shrubs that are growing out of control at the following two locations pruned back as residents are complaining - in one case they are blocking free access on the pathway - locations:- Willington Green and Willington Park - both are opposite bus stops?"
βTo ask the Manager, in light of the difficulties that have been created for motorists accessing Fortunestown Way via Drumcara Avenue in Jobstown, right handed turning movements from Drumcara Avenue to Fortunestown Way in particular, if he would agree to amend or alter the wooden stakes that were recently installed on Fortunestown Way and while understanding the need for this project, if a slight alteration of the planks could now be put in place so that cars coming from Drumcara Avenue would not be obstructed in attempting to access the very busy and dangerous Fortunestown Way, and if he will make a statement on the matter?β
"To ask the Manager to provide a very short footpath, about 5-6 mtrs. along the route marked by pedestrian use at the end of the following two roads, end of Willington Crescent and Willington Drive to connect with current path. It would greatly facilitate easy and safe access to Tymon park, it is also use as shortcut to bus stop by many residents in the area?"
To ask the Manager, (A) how many households within the County have transferred their bin collection to private operators, (B) is this having or likely to have a negative impact on the service provided by S.D.C.C. and (C) what is the Council doing or planning to do to encourage households to stay and return to the service provided by S.D.C.C.?
"That this Committee once again calls on the Manager to re-instate the broken Basketball post in the Grounds of the Fettercairn Coummunity centre as has been agreed to twice over the past year as local children and youths are increasingly frustrated as they feel they are being ignored as a result of their age".
Proposed Declaration of Roads to be Public Roads (none received)
To ask the Manager, to discourage local skip companies within the County from providing "free skip bags" to residents without deposits as this practice is encouraging long term storage of waste in residential gardens and roads which in some cases is causing an environmental health hazard including attracting vermin to housing estates?

To ask the Manager, while taking in to account the recent positive measures progressed in relation to the green bin service in the County, when is it envisaged that the green bin service will be provided to every household within the County including apartments as this will continue to be an area where we as a County are falling short in terms of our recycling targets, this matter should be prioritised taking into consideration the duration some areas are awaiting this vital service?
To ask the Manager, has the recent slump in the private housing market had any significant impact either positive or negative on the numbers of applicants applying for the various affordable housing schemes/initiatives provided by S.D.C.C. through the "Property Path"?
That this Committee supports the need for additional resources for the Fire Service in Tallaght.

Proposed variation of County Development Plan β Woodtown Manor, Stocking Lane, Rathfarnham
To ask the Manager, to outline whether the thousands of trees that were cut down along the M50 were replanted in different locations around the County or were they used as 'mulch' or both, taking into consideration the high cost of mature and semi-mature trees and can he/she make a statement on the matter?

To ask the Manager, whether residents throughout the County directly affected by the ongoing works on the Outer Ring Road were notified by information leaflet as to what the nature and duration of the disruption would be and what the end result would be in terms of the road itself, landscaping including walls, footpaths and planting?

"That this Committe calls on the Manager to discuss the now farcical situation with the still vacant Community Facility on Deerpark Road despite the Facility being succesfully snagged in 2005 and despite numerous representations from Circle VHA and local reps and despite numerous promises from the Council on it's handover to Kiltipper Park Management Company on behalf Circle VHA".
