QUESTION: Councillor S. Crowe

"To ask the manager has his department had any discussion regarding the identification of a new site for Scoil Chaitlin Maude Knockmore a Gaelscoileanna that due to over capacity  has had to turn away applicants for the last number of years?"  

REPLY:

The Council has had some brief discussions with the Department of Education and Science almost two years ago relating to the accomodation needs  of Scoil Chaitlin Maude. However no request to identify a suitable alternative site has been received from the Department in the meantime and it is understood that the Department is reviewing its existing landholding,in the area, with a view to facilitating the School with permanent accomodation.
