"That this Committee discusses with the aid of an up to date report on the Ballyroan Community Centre/Parish Centre with a view to getting this centre open for use again as soon as possible – noting the meals on wheels particularly are totally discommoded at the moment - along with the many other services who have had to cease using the centre which is closed pending upgrade."

This Committee calls on the Manager, in view of the crisis facing many of those involved in the construction industry and in view of the public monies involved,  to confirm if there  is sufficient safeguards in place to monitor contractors, sub contractors and sub contractors of sub contractors, employed in public housing projects schemes  in the County area,  that they are tax compliant,pension compliant and also compliant with the industries, registered employment agreement.

To ask the Manager if can give an updated report regarding the ongoing problems regarding the issuing of a lease /licence to groups in  Community  based Centres throughout the County, if a full list has now been drawn up, what groups, if any, have been issued a lease /licence since a motion was passed by this Council, if has he been in communication with all the groups involved,and can he outline in the report what new procedures or additional resources or measures  he has taken to resolve this lengthy delay?

"That this committee agrees to have 4 trees (requested for the past 10 years and intermittently since that date) at houses along Firhouse Road address  (address supplied)  --  Woodbrook Park and neighbouring houses.  This is a main road with lots of traffic. I would appreciate if they could be planted shortly as the request has been made for such a long time? Noting that Rathfarnham area has 10 extra trees still to be allocated this year as 10 inadvertently included on the Rathfarnham list which should have been listed on the Tallaght area list."
