QUESTION: Councillor P. Kearns

"To ask the Manager for an update on the derelict site notice served on the owners of the Burmah garage site at Wellington Lane?"

REPLY:

Following a recent inspection by the Area Engineer this site was deemed to be in a derelict state.  A Section 11 Notice was served on the registered owner on 30th September, 2009, outlining a numer of works to be completed within a certain time frame.  The site will be re-inspected on expiry of the Notice and if the work outlined have not been completed satisfactorily, the site will be entered onto the Derelict Sites Register and will be subject to an annual levy.
