That the Manager give an undertaking that a audit be done on the social alarm system in Liscarne Court, Rowlagh, Clondalkin, which residents rely on in case of emergencies in the complex.
That the Manager outlines why it is that if an elderly person dies - they upgrade the housing stock for a new young couple moving in, when it would be better to upgrade the house whilst the elderly are alive.
That this Committee requests that the Manager responsible restore the practice of supporting community groups in the Lucan/Clondalkin Committee Area, who are prepared to voluntarily clean up their area, especially by providing them with protective gloves, bags, etc. The Committee notes that such support and investment has a multiplier effect and cost-effectiveness way beyond the small investment by this Council in the activity.

That this Council installs traffic calming measures as outlined to residents in Laurel Park, Clondalkin, namely two islands at the start of the estate (preventing u-turns) and half way up the estate at the junction, again, eliminating u-turns.
That this Committee requests the Manager to arrange the cleaning of the footbridge at Tay Lane to Rathcoole.
Water gathers at the centre of the bridge and various other points, making it impossible to cross without having to step into pools of water, which will no doubt freeze over in the winter if you get a combination of rain and frost.
- The bridge is filthy, full of slippery moss, dead leaves, cans, paper etc
- Also some street lighting to be installed down Tay lane at the Rathcoole end, and along the bridge as it is very dark at night.

To ask the Manager how many new social housing units are anticipated to be provided in the relevant housing areas within the remit of the Tallaght Area Committee in 2010 through (a) direct provision by the local authority, through (b) an approved housing body or (c) through RAS, and what the size, location and type of these units will be?

That this Council Committee calls on the Manager to give a report outlining the supports it can give to Residents Associations like the one in Orwell, Templeogue, who regularly remove litter from green spaces and other areas and if a scheme can be designed to encourage this and other types of actiivity in the County.
This Council Committee calls on the Manager to investigate the road sweeping operation on the Fettercairn Road that is linked to Housing Construction and other activity in the area to determine if a new system can be intoduced with the co-operation of local residents where by parking bays on the road can be also cleaned during these cleaning operations.
That this Committee thanks the staff of SDCC for their efforts over the Hallowe'en period in containing bonfires and providing extra services, and that the Manager provides a detailed report on the cleanup of Hallowe'en bonfires and other activities this year, with the inclusion of all significant locations of bonfire debris within the remit of the Tallaght Area Committee, an estimate of the costs involved, and a comparison of this work with previous years.

To ask the Manager for a further update on the taking-in-charge of Tullyhall, Rossberry & Hayden’s Park estates including the access road linking these three estates to Griffeen Avenue, Lucan and the grass verges to this access road?
To ask the Manager to report on the current structural condition of King John's Bridge in Esker, reputedly the oldest stone-arch bridge in Ireland; to report on any current plans to secure the long-term preservation of the bridge and to provide informational signage at the site in particular in light of revised RPA plans to route the proposed Luas line F close to this protected structure?
