- A integrated traffic & mobility strategy for the entire of Palmerstown;
- Detailed proposals for the provision of additional community facilities including a library and digital hub;
- Strategies aimed at improving both the urban and natural environment.'
Specific Local Objectives - To propose to included 13.1 - "It is the policy of the Council to pursue as a matter of priority with the National Roads Authority, the provision of an up-graded junction, including an underpass on the N4 at the Kennelsfort Road junction, similar to the successful underpass on the N4 at the Newcastle Road junction in the interest of accommodating local traffic between Palmerstown village and the greater Palmerstown residential areas."

To amend the local objective entitled Enterprise lands – Framework Plan (unnumbered, top of page 244 of the Draft Written Statement) to add an additional objective as follows: “prior to the commencement of development, traffic arrangements shall be put in place to ensure that the use of the R120 (Grange Castle to N4) by HGV traffic to and from developments on these lands would be prohibited."
To add the Marian Grotto at Dodsboro Road, Lucan to the Record of Protected Structures in recognition of it’s important cultural significance to the local community.
To amend Schedule 3 to clarify that the “Shop-Major Sales Outlet” building class relates to units in excess of 1000sq.m net public floor area.
Under Landscape Character Area Description, 1 Liffey Valley, Landcover, Strategy, to include "It is the policy of the Council to provide Park Warden Service for the Lucan Demesne."
To introduce a new zoning objective LV “To protect and enhance the outstanding natural character of the Liffey Valley”; and to re-designate all lands north of the N4 currently zoned G (high amenity) or GB (green belt) under this new LV zoning; and to further amend both policy LHA4 and specific local objective 3 to seek that the proposed extension of the Liffey Valley Special Amenity Area Order would include all lands zoned LV.
That the strip of land along the railway line immediately south of Griffeen Valley Park reverts to its current Objective F (open space) zoning instead of the Objective A zoning shown on the draft maps.

The County Development Plan continues to support and maintain our natural and human history through the continuation of existing policies including the protection of the Dublin Mountain uplands and the Liffey Valley add Dodder Valley
Amendment to 1.2.60 POLICY
Change to:
"1.2.60.i Policy H41: Naming of Housing Developments
It is the policy of the Council that the naming of any new residential development will reflect the local and historical context of its siting and should include the use of the Irish language."
Add an additional policy to Section 1.3.22, after 1.3.32.ii, as follows:
"It is the policy of the Council to encourage and facilitate the involvement of local communities/park users in the management of parks and open spaces."
That the opening of the Barney's Lane Link Road be included as an objective.
That it is an objective of South Dublin County Council to prioritise the development of indigenous renewable energy resources within the County. In this context, it is an objective of the County Development Plan to support the continued investigation of the potential and scale of the deep geothermal heat resources within the County including those found at Newcastle. It is also an objective of the Council to support a pilot project to demonstrate the exploitation and use of the renewable energy resource in a new energy self-sufficient residential development and to ensure that such an energy resource is in use before this County Development Plan runs its course.
