That this Council in view of the lack of Social Housing new builds taking place now and in the foreseeable future calls on the Manager to prioritise the section of the scheme of lettings that deals with 'downsizing' to ensure the most efficient use of existing housing stock, as the current arrangement does not prioritise these specific transfer applications.

To thank the Litter Warden and Cleansing Unit for the recent removal of a significant amount of dumped material from beside the N4 footbridge next to Mount Andrew Estate; and in seeking to maintain the cleanliness of this area along the N4.  Can the Manager arrange the installation of a litter bin at the nearby bus-stop, just west of Ballyowen Lane, as this area remains heavily littered and is located on a well-used walking route to/from a nearby filling station/convenience store?

To ask the Manager to write to the Minster for Environment, Heritage and Local Government to ask if any funding is available from his Department for implementing provisions of the ‘Towards a Liffey Valley Park’ report, noting the reply to parliamentary question No. 88 of 26th November 2009 tabled by Leo Varadkar TD on my behalf, in which the Minster responsible for the Office of Public Works advised that “further progress on implementing aspects of the report at a National level is dependent on the provision of resources, particularly through the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government.”?
