MOTION: Councillor S. Crowe

p11 insert additional bullet point before second last paragraph ('These strategic policies...') to read, ' - Promoting equality, diversity and social inclusion through the delivery of quality services for all.'

REPORT:

The specific paragraph and associated bullet points to which the motion refers relate particularly to the physical environment components of the spatial policy framework set out in the draft plan. It is consdered that the proposed amendment would not be congruent with this focus. It is suggested that the proposed insertion could more appropriately be inserted as an additional bullet point in section 1.3.2 of Section 3 Social Inclusion, Community Facilities and Recreation.

 

Manager’s Recommendation:

That the motion be amended and adopted to read as follows:

In Section 1.3.2 Background insert additional bullet point before first bullet point to read:

• Promoting equality, diversity and social inclusion through the delivery of quality services for all;
